To help promote the importance of curing leukemia and related cancers, Friends for Life of America chapters host special on-campus activities in honor of Leukemia Awareness Week during September.

• Members and community supporters wear blue and gold ribbons on their lapel to promote the importance of finding the cause and cure for leukemia.
  
  
• Friends for Life of America invites pediatric specialists to speak about the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment of leukemia and related cancers.
  
  
• The Office of Public Relations promotes our upcoming events and distributes literature on Friends for Life of America to students, staff, and faculty.
  
  
• Participating schools organize letter-writing campaigns to members of Congress to promote important public policy initiatives.
  
  
• The Office of Member Services encourages active students to join our organization.
