Three new members appointed to National Board

GAINESVILLE, January 7, 2002 — Following an extensive search, National Chairman Steven D. Cohen announced the addition of three new members to the Friends for Life of America National Board.

"We are proud to welcome three new members to our National Board. These officers will bring a fresh perspective to our organization," said Cohen.

Dewayne Allen
Vice President, Information Services

Dewayne Allen is a junior majoring in Political Science at the University of Florida. Although he dedicates much of his time to his coursework, Dewayne's true passions are medicine and film-making. Before joining the National Board, Dewayne served as a chapter officer and an administrative director.

Matthew Seymour
Director, Finance

Matthew Seymour is currently pursuing a finance degree at the University of Florida. A sophomore, he currently serves as the Treasurer of his fraternity, Pi Lambda Phi. Matt actively participates in a variety of intramural sports that include swimming, softball, and fencing.

Joshua Weissman
Director, Patient Services

Joshua Weissman is presently entering his second undergraduate year at Boston University. A member of the university's accelerated medical program, Josh will graduate with a M.D. from the Boston University School of Medicine in six years. Josh's interest in medical sciences has led him to conduct extensive medical research and volunteer in a neuroimaging laboratory, where he will likely begin an independent study next semester.
