


Magic pill for CML patients wins marketing approval
GAINESVILLE, May 5, 2001 Friends for Life of America is pleased to provide information on Gleevec, a new drug recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) in patients who have failed standard therapy.
In an effort to inform communities with Friends for Life of America chapters about this exciting new development, the Office of Patient Services is distributing informational pamphlets about Gleevec.
