About the Program

Thank you for your interest in the Painting for Patients Campaign!

You have an exciting opportunity to join students across the country in an innovative program that is dedicated to exploring the relationship between the art of creativity and the art of healing. Through the Painting for Patients Campaign, Friends for Life of America encourages high school and university students to create inspirational works of art that will brighten the days of pediatric cancer patients undergoing treatment. After a successful inauguration at the University of Florida in 2002, we are ready to expand the program nationally, and artistically improve the quality of life for more patients throughout the nation.

In order to participate in the Painting for Patients Campaign, your school must first register with the Friends for Life of America National Office by completing our online registration form. All interested schools may either organize this campaign through their chapter of Friends for Life or America or through another student organization. Suggested organizations include service clubs, fraternities and sororities, Student Government, and residence hall associations.

Through the Painting for Patients Campaign, Friends for Life of America and participating organizations will be able to use the visual arts as a way of transforming the medical environment from a sterile, depersonalized setting to one of color and inspiration.

We hope you will join our efforts to make a difference in the lives of others! If your school or organization would like to participate in our upcoming Painting for Patients Campaign, please contact us with any questions or complete an online registration form to receive detailed program information.
