Student Advocacy

Friends for Life of America advocates public policy positions that accelerate progress toward a cure for many types of cancers. To support its policy goals, Friends for Life of America encourages its members and other supporters to contact their elected representatives in the U.S. Congress and state legislatures to educate them about the impact these diseases have on millions of Americans each year and to urge them to support responsible policies. Friends for Life of America endorses the following policy measures:

• Guarantee access to cancer clinical trials.
• Double funding for the National Institute of Health.
• Provide Medicare coverage for oral anti-cancer drugs.
• Protect the privacy of patients by maintaining confidentiality.
