Lauren Kovaleski has been actively involved in Friends for Life for the past three years. During her time in the organization she has attended nearly every car wash, Hope Lodge dinner, and service event held by Friends for Life. She has participated in Dance Marathon, Relay for Life and volunteered at Camp Boggy Creek. Lauren was also the recipient of the Lance Dalton Memorial Award for the 2003-2004 school year, an award given to a member who truly embodies the spirit of Friends for Life. Her easy-going cheerful personality can always brighten the day of everyone surrounding her. Whether she is rinsing off cars at a Saturday morning carwash or serving sno-cones at the Chomp Cancer Carnival, Lauren is always smiling and willing to help the organization and its members in any way she can. Lisa Kaplan swears she could never have survived Anatomy without Lauren to help her through it!
When Lauren isn’t busy maintaining her good grades she volunteers at Shands and plays soccer. She also enjoys spending Saturday nights eating dinner and watching a movie with the girls.
Lauren will graduate this spring with a bachelors degree in Mathematics. After graduation she will move to Charleston, SC to work for AmeriCorps for ten months helping improve public education. After her work in Charleston is complete, Lauren plans to attend Dental School.
