About This Site

In December 2000, Friends for Life of America launched a new web site to promote its mission and to facilitate communication between chapters. Since that time it has grown into a resource for members, patients, and communities.

The original design for this web site was created by Adam Kell, a University of Florida student. That design was maintained until February 2002, when friendsforlife.com launched a special redesign of the web site to commemorate the organization's fifth anniversary. This redesign is simply not a change in colors and schemes. The new web site includes a special section for the National Office and Fifth Anniversary, as well as a reorganization of information for enhanced user-friendliness. The revised site includes a Sitemap and Search page, too. The special commemorative design will remain in effect until February 2003, to honor the fifth anniversary for an entire year. Another redesign of the page occurred on February 2004 in an effort to further improve the overall user experience as well the site's ease of navigation. The redesigned stile features rollover menus to allow direct access to the most popular parts of the site.
